Chamoli: The state-level celebration of the 11th International Day of Yoga will be held at the Bhararisain Vidhan Sabha Complex in Chamoli district on June 21. The grand event will witness the presence of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, alongside ambassadors from 10 countries.

Confirming the details, Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Director of Ayurvedic and Unani Services, said the program will be organized on a large scale as part of statewide celebrations. “Preparations are in full swing to ensure a successful event in Bhararisain,” he added.

Distinguished guests, including the Chief Minister and the foreign dignitaries, are expected to arrive in Bhararisain by the afternoon of June 20.

With more than 1,000 participants expected, the event aims to highlight yoga’s growing global influence. The venue—Bhararisain, known for its scenic location—will serve as a symbolic backdrop for this celebration of health and wellness.

“India has given the world the mantra of health and well-being through yoga,” said Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. “Our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji took the initiative to mark June 21 as International Yoga Day to spread this message worldwide. In continuation of that vision, Uttarakhand will host this significant event in Bhararisain.”

This year marks the 11th edition of International Yoga Day, and Uttarakhand is set to celebrate it with unmatched enthusiasm and participation across the state.
