Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Mining Department has achieved a historic milestone by collecting ₹331.14 crore in revenue in the first quarter of FY 2025–26 — a 22.47% increase over the same period last year. This marks the highest quarterly revenue to date, driven by strong reforms and crackdown on illegal mining under CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership.

In FY 2024–25, the state had earned a record ₹1,040.57 crore from mining. Previous first-quarter revenues were ₹146.18 crore (2022–23), ₹177.27 crore (2023–24), and ₹270.37 crore (2024–25), showing consistent growth.

Key steps like simplified mining rules, e-auction of new mineral lots, improved e-Ravanna portal monitoring, and strong enforcement teams at both state and district levels have significantly contributed to this increase.

To further boost transparency and curb illegal mining, the government is developing a Mining Digital Tracking and Surveillance System (MDTSS) and setting up 45 mining check gates.

CM Dhami emphasized the state`s commitment to transparent mining, rule enforcement, revenue growth, and employment generation through modern technology and sustainable practices.
