Dehradun: ₹24.68 Crore Allocated for Water Conservation Under SARRA

Dehradun: The state-level Executive Committee of SARRA met at the Secretariat, chaired by Secretary & CEO Shri Dilip Javalkar. Eight water conservation and river rejuvenation projects worth ₹24.68 crore were approved, with ₹18.61 crore funded by SARRA.

Shri Javalkar directed districts to follow the “One District, One River” principle, focus on revitalizing traditional springs and water channels, and ensure community participation. He also stressed departmental coordination, permanent MoUs, and eco-friendly structures.

Additional CEO Mrs. Kahkashan Naseem presented projects from Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, and Pithoragarh.

SARRA approved eight projects worth ₹24.68 crore under the “One District, One River” initiative, focusing on revitalizing traditional springs and water channels with community participation.
