WSDM 2025 and USSTC 2025 to be Held in Dehradun

Dehradun: UCOST has announced that the World Summit on Disaster Management (WSDM 2025) and the 20th Uttarakhand State Science & Technology Conference (USSTC 2025) will take place from 28–30 November 2025 at Graphic Era University, Dehradun.

UCOST DG Prof. Durgesh Pant said the event will bring global experts, policymakers, scientists, innovators and disaster-response agencies together to strengthen Himalayan disaster preparedness and scientific collaboration.

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami will chair the inaugural session, with Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh as chief guest. Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh will attend the valedictory session on 30 November.

UCOST will also launch new awards and host the state’s first Science & Technology Premier League 2025, featuring teams from all 13 districts.

WSDM 2025 will focus on international cooperation for resilient communities, with major plenaries, 12 tech sessions, 20+ workshops and an Innovation Expo showcasing early warning systems, AI tools and space-based monitoring.

These events aim to boost Uttarakhand’s scientific capacity and climate resilience.
