Railway Minister Flags Off New Train Services in Uttarakhand

New Delhi: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the Nanded-Mumbai and Tanakpur-Nanded Express trains, along with the extension of the Tanakpur-Pilibhit rail service, strengthening connectivity across Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

The Tanakpur-Nanded Express will provide direct rail connectivity between Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib in Nanded and Uttarakhand, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the Sikh community in the Terai region.

Vaishnaw said the Nanded-Mumbai Express will improve connectivity with the Vidarbha and Marathwada regions, while the extended rail service linking Pilibhit, Tanakpur and Agra will enhance regional travel and passenger convenience.

The new services aim to strengthen regional, religious and economic connectivity while expanding passenger-centric rail infrastructure across the country.
