Dehradun: Uttarakhand`s State Tax Department has reported a significant increase in tax revenue during the April–June quarter of FY 2026–27, with net SGST collection rising 24% compared to the same period last year.

The figures were shared during a review meeting chaired by Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu on Saturday. According to the department, net SGST collection increased from ₹2,457 crore to ₹3,056 crore, while non-GST revenue rose 12% from ₹658 crore to ₹740 crore. Overall tax collection also grew 22%, reaching ₹3,796 crore from ₹3,115 crore.

The Central Intelligence Unit (CIU) recovered ₹16.48 crore by June 2026, marking a 27.6% increase over the previous year.

The Principal Secretary directed officials to further improve GST compliance, strengthen revenue collection through better use of technology and data analytics, ensure timely disposal of pending cases, and maintain regular monitoring of departmental performance.
