Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 2023 edition of global investors’ summit at Forests Research Institute premises to propel the process to attract investments in various sectors of the state’s economy.

In his inaugural speech Prime Minister congratulated Uttarakhand government for launching House of Himalayas brand which will make local products recognised at the global level.

Sharing his insights Prime Minister said that a neo-middle class has come up in the country which is developing a consumption based economy to meet the demands of an aspirational lifestyle.

Modi exhorted businesses to invest in Uttarakhand and become mutual partners in growth of their business and development of the state.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in his welcome speech at the inaugural ceremony of Uttarakhand`s Global Investors Summit 2023 in Dehradun praised ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ which became a model for drawing investment in any state.

“Vibrant Gujarat was started by the respected Prime Minister when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, which became a model not only within India but for the entire world. Taking inspiration from that, we have organized the Global Investors’ Summit,” said Dhami in his speech.

He said that Uttarakhand government had set a target of signing MoUs worth Rs 2.5 lakh crore with investors at the Global Investors Summit but signed investment proposals well above the target.

Dhami also informed that under the leadership of the respected Prime Minister, Uttarakhand will also build a convention center on the lines of Mahatma Mandir Convention Center and Exhibition Center in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
