Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat ordered two separate investigations to find out the reasons behind the death of a new born child in Almora recently.

Taking cognisance of the seriousness of the incident, Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat ordered Director General of Health Services and Almora District Magistrate to investigate the matter separately and submit detailed reports within a week for further action.

Assuring grieving family members Dr Rawat said that strict action will follow basis the investigation report against those responsible for the tragic death of the new born.

Taking cognizance of the death of a newborn baby of Aarti Arya, a resident of Falsima in Almora district, the Health Minister said that strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.

“Strict action will be taken against the negligent staff so that such incidents do not recur in future and there shall be no negligence in the treatment of any patient coming to the hospital,” said Dr Rawat in a press statement on Tuesday.
