Dehradun: The 8th All India P.C. Batta Memorial Cricket Tournament 2026 commenced at Kasiga School, nestled in the scenic Shivalik hills. A total of 11 teams from across the country are competing at the school’s renowned ‘The Oval’ ground.

The tournament was inaugurated by Chairman Ramesh Batta, who emphasized hard work, discipline, and skill development. The event is आयोजित in memory of his father, Prakash Chandra Batta, with the aim of nurturing young cricketing talent.

CEO & Head of School Dr. Madhav Dev Saraswat welcomed the participants and wished all teams success.

In the opening match, Welham Boys’ School defeated Tula’s International School comfortably, chasing 81 runs in 11.1 overs. Prakhar Jain was named Player of the Match for his 3 wickets.

In the second match, host Kasiga School secured a dominant win, chasing 81 runs in just 6.4 overs. Aryan Bhatia starred with an unbeaten 51 and was named Player of the Match.

The tournament promises exciting contests while providing a strong platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent.
