Dehradun: With the upcoming Char Dham Yatra, tourism season, and wedding period in view, the state government has stepped up efforts to ensure uninterrupted supply of LPG, petrol, and diesel. A high-level review meeting chaired by Food and Civil Supplies Secretary Anand Swaroop was held on Wednesday, attended by district supply officers and oil company representatives.

The Secretary directed officials to ensure smooth and adequate fuel supply during the Yatra, considering the expected surge in pilgrims. Feedback from districts highlighted issues like increased demand for commercial cylinders, transport challenges, and coordination gaps, which were ordered to be addressed immediately.

Oil companies assured that supply would be maintained as per norms and coordination with agencies strengthened. Officials have been instructed to closely monitor the situation, especially along Yatra routes and key locations, to avoid any inconvenience to the public and pilgrims.
