Dehradun: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has signed an MoU with the Uttarakhand Space Application Centre to strengthen collaboration in space science and geospatial applications.

The agreement was signed by Director Kamal Kishore Pant and Durgesh Pant at the IIT Roorkee campus.

The partnership will focus on joint research, academic collaboration, and co-supervision of M.Tech and Ph.D students, with key areas including climate change, disaster management, and natural resource management. Students will also gain opportunities for internships and research projects at USAC.

Both institutions will co-organize seminars, workshops, and training programs, aiming to promote innovation and translate research into practical applications for the state.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen regional capabilities in space science and support sustainable development initiatives.
