A high-level meeting, chaired by Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, was held to discuss improvements in the state’s healthcare system. The Health and Medical Education Department presented its gap analysis, leading to key decisions, which were approved by the Finance and Personnel Departments.

Key reforms include deploying specialist doctors and paramedical staff in medical colleges, introducing a bond policy requiring two years of service for PG students, providing AIIMS-equivalent pay to super-specialist doctors, creating outsourced positions as needed, and initiating training programs for staff. Specialist doctors in hilly areas will receive a 50% special allowance.

Dr. Rawat emphasized that these measures would be implemented promptly to improve healthcare quality and ensure better medical services for the public.
