Uttarakhand Launches AI for All Initiative for Higher Education
Dehradun: Uttarakhand has launched the ‘AI for All’ initiative to provide higher education students with advanced, employment-oriented Artificial Intelligence (AI) education. Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd.) inaugurated the programme on Friday, while IIT Madras Director Prof. V. Kamakoti and Doon University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Surekha Dangwal signed an MoU for the initiative.
The programme, led by Doon University, IIT Madras, Pravartak Technologies Foundation, and SWAYAM Plus, will offer AI-based courses to students across Uttarakhand through the SWAYAM Plus platform.
Governor Gurmit Singh said the initiative will prepare students to become creators of future technologies and strengthen the vision of Viksit Uttarakhand and Viksit Bharat. He added that digital learning will also give students in remote areas access to quality AI education.
Prof. V. Kamakoti said SWAYAM Plus, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, provides high-quality, industry-oriented and employment-focused courses to learners across India.
