Uttarakhand to Boost Tourism and Green Infrastructure

Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has announced key decisions to enhance tourism, sustainability, and infrastructure in Uttarakhand.

State guest houses under construction will now be available to tourists on a payment basis. All future government buildings will be green buildings, equipped with solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and water recycling systems. Additionally, water recycling is now mandatory in water supply schemes, and new government buildings must include basement parking.

To improve the global employability of nursing students, foreign language courses will be introduced in nursing colleges.

Major projects approved include the construction of guest houses in Pithoragarh and Tanakpur, a nursing college in Haldwani, a residential school in Haridwar, judicial housing in Dehradun, and the Clementown Water Supply Scheme in Dehradun.

These measures aim to promote sustainable development and economic growth in the state.
