Health Dialogue and Blood Donation Drive Held in Dehradun

Dehradun: A Health Dialogue and Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized at Amolaj Restaurant, Mothrowala, Dehradun, under the banner of the social organization Vichar Ek Nai Soch along with 17 partner organizations. Despite adverse weather conditions, there was significant public participation, resulting in the collection of 216 units of blood.

Chief Guest, MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, praised the initiative and said that blood donation is the greatest form of charity as it saves lives. Special Guest Bansidhar Tiwari, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister and Director General of Information, appreciated the active involvement of the youth and stated that voluntary efforts are essential for building a strong society.

Other dignitaries who addressed the gathering included Dr. Ashutosh Sayana (Director of Medical Education), Ajay Dabral (Secretary, Mandi Committee), Ravi Birjania (President, PRSI Dehradun Chapter), Lalit Joshi (Chairman, CIMS College), Digmohan Negi (Kunti Foundation), Bhupendra Kandari (President, Uttaranchal Press Club), and Dr. S.D. Joshi, who emphasized the need for sustainable and positive social change.

21 individuals were felicitated for their significant contributions in the fields of health and social service, including Arjun Singh Bisht, Anil Sati, Suresh Bhatt, Ashish Dhyani, Vaibhav Goyal, Anurag Shukla, and others.

Key partners in the event included PRSI Dehradun Chapter, Uttaranchal Press Club, Uttarakhand Shramjeevi Patrakar Union, CIMS and UIHMT Group of Colleges, Life Care Pathology Centre, Rant Raibar, and Kunti Dayal Foundation, among others—17 organizations in total.

The event was jointly hosted by Yogambar Poli and organization secretary Rakesh Bijalwan. The program stood as an inspiring example of public participation, youth engagement, and community service in action.
