At the World Police and Fire Games 2025 held in Birmingham, USA, firefighters from Uttarakhand participated for the first time and brought pride to both India and the state. The global event saw participation from over 8,500 athletes representing more than 70 countries. Four firefighters from Uttarakhand — one male and three female — represented India and collectively secured 9 medals.

Fire driver Dinesh Chandra Bhatt won a silver medal in the Ultimate Firefighter event and a bronze in the Firefighting Challenge. Female firefighters Dimple Rawat, Madhuri Bhandari, and Pinky Rawat won a silver and a bronze medal in team events. Pinky Rawat also secured a bronze medal in an individual category.

Dimple Rawat delivered an outstanding performance, winning six medals on her own — including 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. Her achievements are a matter of immense pride not only for Uttarakhand but for the entire country.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated the team, saying that every medal won by the fire personnel reflects their dedication, fitness, and courage. This achievement is a symbol of the strength and excellence of India’s uniformed services on a global platform.
