Uttarakhand continues to reel under the impact of heavy rainfall. In the past two days, three people have died due to drowning, while several districts are facing floods and landslides, severely disrupting normal life.

In Haldwani, one person was swept away by the Bhakra river, and two others drowned near Bhujiyaghat. In Rudraprayag, a landslide buried two shops under debris. Due to continuous rainfall, schools and anganwadi centers in Dehradun remained closed.

The water levels of major rivers including the Ganga and Kali are rising dangerously. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in the districts of Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Pauri, and Dehradun.

Flood-like conditions have emerged in areas like Bazpur. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a video conference with district officials, instructing them to stay on the ground and speed up relief operations. He also directed for immediate assessment of crop damage.
