Dehradun: Under Operation Kalnemi, Uttarakhand Police has busted an international religious conversion racket. The network was being operated from Pakistan and found to have links with terrorist organizations.

Several Bangladeshi nationals living in Dehradun and Haridwar were arrested, while two young women were saved from forced conversion. Investigations revealed that the accused were trapping girls through social media, money offers, and fake love affairs.

During the operation, police also arrested a fake doctor, a man posing as an IAS officer, fraudulent tantriks, and Bangladeshi nationals disguised as monks. Two Bangladeshi citizens were caught at the Kaliyar Urs and later deported.
