IIT Roorkee Hosts 12th IAHS Scientific Assembly

Roorkee: The 12th Scientific Assembly of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) commenced at IIT Roorkee. Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan inaugurated the international conference.

The event features participation from 627 delegates representing 49 countries and includes 682 scientific contributions. Chief Secretary Bardhan emphasized that hydrology plays a vital role in addressing climate change, disaster management, and sustainable development.

IIT Roorkee Director Prof. K.K. Pant stated that the six-day conference will foster global collaboration and innovation in water science. During the inaugural session, the proceedings of the IAHS Scientific Assembly 2025 were also released.
