Dehradun: Union Minister of State for Electronics & IT and Commerce & Industry Shri Jitin Prasada inaugurated the Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit 2025 in Dehradun. The event was organized by the IT Department, Government of Uttarakhand, with support from the India AI Mission (MeitY).

Serving as a pre-event to the India AI Impact Summit 2026 (to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in February 2026), the summit highlighted India’s vision of “AI for All.”

Shri Prasada said, “AI is to this century what nuclear technology was to the last. India is ensuring equal access, offering world-class computing power at less than one dollar per hour.”

IT Secretary Shri Nitesh Kumar Jha noted that Uttarakhand is building AI solutions through its Centre of Excellence and AI-integrated Drone Application Centre, both recognized with a National Award.

Institutions like IIT Roorkee, IIM Kashipur, UPES, STPI Dehradun, and the Tony Blair Institute participated, discussing responsible and inclusive AI applications in governance, innovation, and social impact.
