US Embassy Honours Uttarakhand SDRF for High-Altitude Rescues

Dehradun: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Uttarakhand Police has received international recognition from the U.S. Embassy in India for its exemplary role in rescuing American and other foreign nationals stranded in remote and high-altitude areas of Uttarakhand.

The honour was awarded for SDRF’s swift, courageous and humanitarian rescue operations carried out under extremely challenging terrain and weather conditions. Several complex missions were successfully executed in regions such as Chamoli, Badrinath and Gangotri, ensuring the safe evacuation of foreign tourists.

Under the leadership of Arpan Yaduvanshi, the force demonstrated high professional standards, effective coordination and timely decision-making. The recognition highlights SDRF Uttarakhand Police’s growing global credibility and its vital role in disaster management and life-saving operations in the Himalayan region.
