Two going together, Mussoorie & Bond
On Friday, Cambridge Book Depot in Mussoorie was decked up to welcome its most famous author Ruskin Bond - The Rusty, on his 89th birthday.
The scene outside the book depot was jubilant with fans eagerly awaiting their turn to get their copies autographed by the most loved author by himself.
On Mussoorie Mall Road, Rusty’s fans gathered and lined up in disciplined manner outside the book depot since mid noon.
Ruskin Bond made it a routine, to sign copies of his book for many years, on Saturdays for an hour beginning 3.30 pm. But, this time his birthday fell on a Friday so he decided to meet his fans first time after covid.
On Friday, a beaming Ruskin comfortably sat signing copies of his books while Mussoorie’s bicentennial celebrations went on, some distance away, at Nagar Parishad’s office.
