In a major breakthrough achieved in rescue operations to evacuate 41 workers trapped at Silkyara tunnel collapse in Uttarkashi district, the work on pushing steel pipes through entire length of the debris has been completed.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced successful completion of work in pushing steel pipes through the debris inside the tunnel to create a passage for workers to come out of the tunnel.

“With the grace of Baba Baukh Nag Ji, prayers of crores of countrymen have been answered. The tireless work of all the rescue teams engaged in the laying of pipes in the tunnel to take out the workers has been completed. Soon all the brothers trapped inside will be taken out,” Dhami said on X social media platform.
