Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today honoured outstanding women self-help groups (SHGs) under the Mukhyamantri Sashakt Bahna Utsav Yojana at the Chief Sevak Sadan, CM’s Residence. The event also marked the launch of the Mukhyamantri Udyamshala Yojana and the unveiling of new products and the official website of the House of Himalayas brand.

The CM highlighted that 5 lakh women in Uttarakhand are advancing towards self-reliance through 68,000 SHGs, with 1.63 lakh achieving the milestone of becoming ‘Lakhpati Didis’. Over the next three years, the Mukhyamantri Udyamshala Yojana will support 15,000 entrepreneurs with skill training, investment assistance, and marketing networks from local to global levels.

Under the House of Himalayas initiative, 35 premium-quality local products will soon be marketed internationally, strengthening the “Vocal for Local” and “Local to Global” vision.

Women entrepreneurs from Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Dehradun, Haridwar, and Nainital shared their inspiring journeys, demonstrating the transformative impact of government schemes on rural livelihoods and women’s empowerment.
