Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed all District Magistrates to meet with freedom fighters in their respective districts to address their grievances promptly. She emphasized appointing nodal officers at the tehsil level to ensure quick resolutions, with the officers’ names and mobile numbers to be submitted to the government immediately. Raturi also stressed the importance of honoring freedom fighters during government events.

In a recent meeting at the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Raturi listened to the concerns of freedom fighters and their families, directing officials to ensure swift resolutions. She commended the District Magistrate of Chamoli for exemplary work in this area.

Raturi further instructed that issues related to naming roads, squares, and gates, as well as installing stone plaques in honor of freedom fighters, be resolved as a priority. She urged relevant department officers to take immediate action on various cases involving the families of freedom fighters.
