CS Approves Key Disaster Relief Proposals

Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has approved several disaster relief and mitigation proposals in a recent State Executive Committee meeting.

Key decisions include approving Rs 1 crore for district-level disaster works under the SDRF and authorizing Divisional Commissioners to approve projects up to Rs 5 crore.

Rs 287.48 crore was sanctioned to districts and departments, with an additional Rs 95 crore allocated for infrastructure repairs in the fiscal year 2024-25.

Important works include flood protection at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, reconstruction of retaining walls in Uttarkashi, and protective measures for roads and bridges across Dehradun, Nainital, and Chamoli districts.
