Ruskin Bond to celebrate his 89th birthday with fans
Famous author-poet Ruskin Bond decided to publicly celebrate his birthday with fans this time. After 2020, the Padma awardee decided to meet his fans first time on May 19 afternoon to celebrate 89th birthday. Cambridge Book Store, Bond’s favourite hangout, on Mall Road in Mussoorie will host the octogenarian author to touch base with his fans. Since 1980 Bond lives in Landour, a British-Raj era hill station in Uttarakhand. His first novel ‘The Room on the Roof’ was published in 1956. He was awarded Sahitya Akademi Award in 1992, Padma Shri in 1999 and Padma Bhushan in 2014.
