The Journalist Union of Communication (JUC) has expressed outrage over the inhumane incident involving Mukesh Chandrakar`s ashes, demanding a high-level investigation and strict punishment for the culprits. The union has also appealed for financial assistance of ₹1 crore to be provided to the deceased`s family.

According to reports, when Chandrakar`s family reached the cremation ground, they found the urn containing the ashes missing. Later, it was discovered broken and the ashes scattered nearby, leaving the family and union members deeply shocked.

JUC President Gopal Singhal called the act "inhumane and intolerable," stating that it raises serious questions about society`s sensitivity. He urged the administration to prioritize the matter and ensure the immediate arrest of the culprits.

The union warned of protests if swift action is not taken, emphasizing that protecting the dignity of the deceased is a collective responsibility of society and the authorities.
