Working parents were in for a pleasant surprise, on Wednesday, when a renovated crèche and smart class facility was opened in the secretariat premises for the benefit of Uttarakhand sachivalaya employees.

The crèche has been designed for the purpose of providing daycare facilities to the wards of state Secretariat personnel while they were out to perform their official duties. The creche has been provided with AC, refrigerator, water purifier, beds for kids, child friendly wash basins and fire extinguisher.

Additional arrangements have also been made for smart classes and outdoor play equipments for the benefits of kids in the crèche. It has been decorated with fencing and wall paintings. The crèche leaves negligible carbon footprint as it runs on a a 2KW capacity solar power plant installed to run center`s smart class system, LED lighting and ceiling fans.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami appreciated the efforts by the Women Empowerment and Child Development department to provide best facility within sachivalaya premises. “It is a good daycare facility for the convenience of our personnel who could keep their kids here without worrying as it is fully equipped with all facilities,” said the Chief Minister while inaugurating the crèche facility.
