Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has directed District Magistrates (DMs) to take ownership of education schemes and conduct mandatory monthly reviews of the Sampark Yojana to ensure effective implementation.

Launched under a MoU between Samagra Shiksha Uttarakhand and Sampark Foundation, the scheme has been upgrading classrooms with smart TVs and digital learning tools since 2014. Special focus will be given to six key blocks—Champawat, Sitarganj, Pauri, Khirsu, Didihat, and Ukhimath.

With 4,337 schools (including 3,237 primary and 1,100 upper primary schools) upgraded to smart classes, 25% of the state’s schools now benefit from the scheme. The Chief Secretary has instructed strict monitoring through the DM dashboard and Vidya Samiksha Kendra and called for active participation from DEOs, BEOs, and the community.

During the meeting, CS Raturi also released the Teachers Report Card, prepared by the Education Department and Sampark Foundation, to assess and enhance teaching quality.

Education Secretary Shri Ravinath Raman, department officials, and all District Magistrates attended the meeting virtually.
