A vibrant wave of community spirit swept through Dehradun as Kasiga School hosted the ‘Run for Cancer Awareness’ in collaboration with the Indo Canadian Cancer Research Foundation. The event, held on Sunday, witnessed an inspiring turnout of over 700 participants, including students, teachers, and local residents, all united for a common cause — spreading awareness about cancer and encouraging a healthier lifestyle.

Bollywood actor and social activist Rahul Bose inaugurated the event by flagging off the 2.5-kilometre run. His presence brought a surge of motivation to participants who ran, walked, or skated along the route with enthusiasm and purpose.

“It’s heartening to see young people and educators come together for a cause that affects millions of lives,” said Rahul Bose, addressing the crowd. “Events like these show that awareness can be built through action, and that communities—no matter how small—can create ripples of change.”

Students and staff from various schools across the city joined in, making the event a resounding success and a symbol of collective responsibility. The atmosphere was filled with energy, compassion, and a strong sense of unity.

Kasiga School’s Headmaster, Rashid Sharaffuddin, expressed his deep gratitude to Mr. Bose for lending his support. “We are honoured to have Mr. Bose with us. His presence lent tremendous encouragement to our cause,” he said.
