Independence Day: CM Dhami Hoists Tricolour, Remembers Dharali Victims

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the national flag at Parade Ground, Dehradun, on the 79th Independence Day and greeted the people of Uttarakhand. He honoured families of freedom fighters and police personnel for exemplary service, recalling the supreme sacrifices of India’s martyrs.

Dhami highlighted the state’s achievements, saying that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has gained global recognition. He said reconstruction and development works in Uttarakhand are progressing rapidly, with the government committed to holistic growth.

At his residence, the CM also hoisted the tricolour and administered the oath of national unity. Paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the Dharali disaster, he expressed condolences to affected families and assured effective rehabilitation measures.
