Dehradun: Celebrating 25 years of Uttarakhand’s foundation, a spectacular Aero Show and Paragliding Accuracy Competition was organized at Sindhwal village in Thano, turning the skies into a canvas of color and thrill.

Eighteen skilled pilots from eight states participated, captivating the audience with their precision and daring maneuvers. Dehradun’s Gaurav Panwar clinched first place, while Jitendra Singh from Tehri and Bharat from Bhimtal secured second and third positions respectively.

The event was inaugurated by MLA Brijbhushan Gairola, who commended the state’s achievements in education, health, and employment over the past 25 years, adding that promoting adventure sports would strengthen tourism and youth engagement.

Pilots took off from a height of 1,300 meters and skillfully aimed to land near a marked target after a 12-minute flight. The event drew large crowds and was attended by several dignitaries, including BJP district president Rajendra Tadiyal and senior local leaders.
