On the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya, Chardham Yatra will start with opening of portals of Yamunotri and Gangotri on Saturday. Kedarnath and Badrinath dham will formally open its doors for devotees on April 25 & 27 respectively.

Yamunotri - Located in Uttarkashi district at 10,610 feet. Quota for daily darshan is kept at 5500 with 700 darshans every hour. Devotees will get their registration verified at Damta and Dobata . Six kilometer long pedestrian walkway will have medical response team at every kilometre. Pre-paid pony ride services available. Plastic disposal with QR code scanning. Gating system activated to tackle traffic congestion at Syana Chatti and Rana Chatti.

Gangotri Dham - Located in Uttarkashi District at 10,175 feet. Every day cap of devotees fixed at 9000 devotees with 1100 darshan every hour. Verification of registration to be done at Chinyalisaud-Nagun and Hina. Gating system to tackle vehicular congestion.

Kedarnath - Located in Rudraprayag District at 11,757 feet. Quota for daily darshan fixed at 15,000 with 1200 darshan every hour. The 16 kilometre long pedestrian walkway will have 12 medical relief points. Six ambulance and one air ambulance to handle any emergency. Verification of devotees’ registration at Sonprayag. Shuttle services available for ferrying devotees from Sonprayag to Gaurikund. Nine RO plant/dispensers on pedestrian route upto Shiva temple. Pony and palanquin services available. Lost and found centre for convenience of the devotees. Signages in multiple languages. First time darshan of sanctum sanctorum after it was gold plated.

Badrinath - Located in Chamoli District at 10,277 feet. Due to ongoing renovation of holy city, the devotees will go via BRO three-way junction to GMVN guest house and then on to new bridge to reach the temple of Lord Vishnu . Devotees return via old bridge after darshan. Verification at Pandukeshwar.
