Leveraging the 38th National Games, Uttarakhand is working to establish a comprehensive volunteer database for future large-scale events. After successfully hosting events like the Investor Summit and G-20 meetings in recent years, the state has realized the need for trained human resources to manage such occasions efficiently. The sports department has initiated steps to address this need.

More than 30,000 people have registered to volunteer for the National Games, although only 2,000-2,500 volunteers will be selected. The chosen volunteers will undergo training and will be provided with certificates, as well as travel and daily allowances (TA/DA).

A significant number of women and students have shown enthusiasm by registering for the volunteering initiative. This effort aims to not only support the National Games but also prepare a pool of trained volunteers for future events.

Amit Sinha, CEO of the National Games and Special Principal Secretary for Sports, stated, "Through the National Games, we aim to build a robust volunteer database. This will ensure that trained volunteers are readily available for future large-scale events."

This initiative is a significant step in preparing Uttarakhand to successfully host national and international events in the years to come.
