Uttarakhand to Celebrate ₹1 Lakh Cr Investment, Amit Shah to Attend

The Uttarakhand government is set to host the ‘Uttarakhand Investment Celebration’ in Rudrapur on Saturday to mark the milestone of ₹1 lakh crore worth of investments taking shape on the ground. The event will be held under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the chief guest.

Following the Global Investors Summit held in December 2023, a total of 1,779 MoUs were signed. Out of these, investments worth ₹1 lakh crore have already materialized — a first-of-its-kind achievement being publicly showcased by any state government in India.

Key sectors where investments have taken off in Uttarakhand include Energy with ₹40,341 crore, Industries with ₹34,086 crore, Housing at ₹10,055 crore, Tourism receiving ₹8,635 crore, Higher Education with ₹5,116 crore, and other sectors accounting for ₹3,292 crore.

Chief Minister Dhami said that Uttarakhand has emerged as a top choice for investors due to its peaceful environment, robust infrastructure, and proactive policies. The event highlights a significant step toward economic growth and job creation in the state.
