Dehradun: Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has directed officials to prepare a detailed damage assessment of schools affected by the recent natural disaster within five days and submit it to the Directorate of Education. He assured that lack of funds will not hinder repair and reconstruction work, and additional assistance will be provided from the disaster relief fund if required.

In a review meeting held at his Yamuna Colony residence, Dr. Rawat announced that ‘Seva Pakhwada’ will be observed in all schools across the state from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 to October 2. During this period, activities such as cleanliness drives, environmental conservation programs, anti-drug awareness rallies, digital education promotion, and student health camps will be organized.

He further instructed officials to ensure close monitoring of Seva Pakhwada activities at both district and block levels.
