Dehradun: The Uttarakhand State Cooperative Federation has set an annual turnover target of ₹3,000 crore. Cooperative Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat announced that under this plan, the federation will soon launch bottled water under the brand name ‘Himala Jal’. A mineral water plant will be set up in Haridwar, and 500 cooperative procurement centers will be opened across the state.

He said farmers will get fair prices for their produce at the village level itself, eliminating middlemen. The federation will also establish organic bio-fertilizer and phenyl production units.

Dr. Rawat added that new business projects worth ₹100 crore will be launched during Navratri. Traditional hill products—red rice, mandua, jhangora, and millets—will be branded and promoted in global markets under the “Local to Global” initiative.

The minister also announced schemes including interest-free loans of up to ₹21,000 for women, travel loans for senior citizens, and education loans for students. From October 3 to December 30, seven-day cooperative fairs will be organized in all 13 districts of the state.
