Kathgodam: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed disaster damage and relief measures at Kathgodam on Friday, stressing that relief and reconstruction must be completed in a time-bound manner. He warned officials that “negligence will not be tolerated.”

Officials reported losses of nearly ₹443 crore in Nainital district, including the sinking of Lower Mall Road, damaged bridges in Bageshwar, and landslides on highways. DPRs are being prepared for long-term solutions in Lalkuan, Bindukhatta, and Gola river areas.

The CM gave a one-month deadline for road patchwork and removal of encroachments from water bodies. He also ordered strict action over poor-quality work on the Haldwani–Nainital highway and directed the Health Department to act swiftly against water-borne diseases. Pending salaries of UPNL employees at Sushila Tiwari Hospital will be cleared immediately.

Dhami said every department must take responsibility, adding that visible results in roads, bridges, and water bodies should be seen within a month.
