Uttarakhand to Launch Statewide Campaign on New GST Rates
Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced in a virtual meeting on Sunday that a special awareness campaign will be conducted across the state from September 22 to 29 to inform the public and businesses about the new GST rates effective from September 22.
He stated that the new rates will strengthen the state’s economy, promote local products including the “House of Himalayas” brand and GI-tagged products, and create more self-employment opportunities. CM Dhami directed that meetings at village and municipal levels, as well as cultural programs, should be organized to ensure broad public participation.
Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal also explained that the new rates will benefit both the public and businesses, enabling small entrepreneurs to connect with national and global markets.
