Dehradun: President Droupadi Murmu addressed the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly on the state’s 25th Foundation Anniversary, congratulating lawmakers and citizens on the state’s progress since its formation in 2000. She highlighted achievements in education, health, tourism, infrastructure, and digital governance.

The President appreciated women’s empowerment efforts and praised the Assembly for passing over 550 bills, including the Uniform Civil Code Bill, strengthening transparency and justice. She urged legislators to remain accountable, work beyond politics, and preserve the state’s natural and cultural heritage.

Governor Gurmit Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed the President’s address as an inspiration for Uttarakhand’s future growth. Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri and Opposition Leader Yashpal Arya also lauded the President’s message and highlighted the state’s achievements and cultural legacy.
