Uttarakhand Emerges as Startup Hub, Opens Doors for Investment

Dehradun: Uttarakhand has been recognised as a ‘Leader’ in India’s startup ecosystem in the States’ Startup Ecosystem Ranking (5th edition) released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). On National Startup Day, the state’s Industry Department received a Certificate of Appreciation for building a strong and supportive startup environment.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the achievement reflects the success of pro-startup policies, simplified processes, and continuous support to young innovators. He added that Uttarakhand’s startup model is now being seen as an example at the national level.

Adding to the success, Uttarakhand also secured first place among small states in the Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2024 released by NITI Aayog. The ranking highlights the state’s strong export-oriented policies, improved business climate, and robust infrastructure, positioning Uttarakhand for new investment and industrial growth opportunities.
