Dehradun: In a major step to strengthen infrastructure at key religious destinations, the Uttarakhand government has proposed a modern multi-level parking facility and a 2-bed emergency health center at the renowned Neelkanth Mahadev Temple in Pauri Garhwal.

The proposed parking structure will accommodate over 500 vehicles, including 300+ four-wheelers and 200+ two-wheelers. The building will have a stilt floor and three upper levels, designed as per modern engineering standards to manage heavy pilgrim traffic, especially during peak seasons.

To enhance pilgrim safety, a 2-bed emergency health assistance center will also be set up within the complex, providing immediate medical support, particularly for elderly visitors.

Secretary Avas Dr R Rajesh Kumar stated that the project is in its final stage of administrative and financial approval. Construction work is expected to begin soon after clearance. The initiative aims to ease traffic congestion, improve pilgrim convenience, and boost religious tourism in the region.
