BJP MLA Mahesh Jeena Booked for Threatening Municipal Commissioner
BJP MLA Mahesh Jeena of the Salt Assembly Constituency in Kumaon is now under police scrutiny after allegedly threatening Dehradun Municipal Commissioner, Gaurav Kumar. The case, registered by Yashpal Singh, Secretary of the Municipal Corporation Drivers Association, involves charges under IPC sections 147, 186, 504 & 506.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday when Jeena, visibly upset over the rejection of a tender application by a contractor known to him, stormed into Kumar`s office, causing a commotion. Witnesses report that the MLA not only abused and threatened Commissioner Kumar but also obstructed government work undertaken by Municipal Corporation employees and senior officials.
The Dehradun City Police registered the case, emphasizing the severity of the charges against Mahesh Jeena for his alleged disruptive actions and threats. The authorities are now investigating the matter in a politically charged scenario.
