Content Contest Draws 110 Entries Showcasing Uttarakhand

Dehradun: To boost Uttarakhand’s culture and year-round tourism, the Uttarakhand Film Development Council (UFDC) organized the “Content Creators Contest 2025”, receiving 110 entries — 56 reels and 54 short films.

The competition ran from March 23 to May 23, 2025, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for promoting content creation during his March visit. Acting on this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the launch of the initiative.

UFDC CEO Bansidhar Tiwari said the contest aimed to highlight the state’s hidden gems, promote wellness and AYUSH tourism, and position Uttarakhand as a wedding destination.

Entries were invited in 8 categories, including traditional cuisine, homestays, lesser-known temples, and adventure spots. A jury panel of tourism and film experts will select winners in a meeting on June 26. Each category carries two prizes of ₹5 lakh — one each for a reel and a short film.
