Swasthya Chintin Shivir, an annual conference of central council of health and family welfare, was inaugurated on Friday at Dehradun to brainstorm about public healthcare policies and implementation in the country.

The conference aims to reinforce existing healthcare system to remove bottlenecks and streamline it further for the benefit of common man. “We have a total outlay of ₹64,000 crores to create a robust and future ready healthcare system which can cater to people living in the diverse geographical conditions,” Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Union health minister said on the sidelines of the conference.

In two day conference of state health ministers, secretaries and senior health officials from state as well as Union Health Ministry detailed discussions will be held on current schemes, challenges, implementation and best practices across the country.

Chief minister Pushkar Dhami said that healthcare services in Uttarakhand have grown rapidly due to assistance and cooperation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Expressing his gratitude, Shri Dhami said that Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya was generous in extending the opportunity to the state for hosting Swasthya Chintin Shivir which would help in developing a unique perspective after brainstorming for the benefit of the entire country.
