Uttarakhand to Get ₹680 Crore World Bank Assistance

Dehradn: The Government of India has recommended Uttarakhand’s project “Strengthening Public Financial Management for Improved Service Delivery” for consideration by the World Bank.

This ₹680 crore project aims to strengthen financial transparency, accountability, and service delivery systems in the state.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed happiness, saying — “This is a major recognition of Uttarakhand’s efforts toward financial reforms and good governance. With World Bank’s support, our financial systems will become more digital, robust, and result-oriented.”

The project is expected to be a significant step toward establishing Uttarakhand as a financially strong, transparent, and accountable state.
