Dehradun: At the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, the session “Cinemascape Uttarakhand: Stories in the Mountains” showcased Uttarakhand’s growing cinematic appeal and the impact of its new Film Policy-2024.

Moderator Yashasvi Juyal highlighted the state’s natural beauty and film-friendly environment.
Dr. Nitin Upadhyay, Joint CEO of the Uttarakhand Film Development Council, presented key policy features such as single-window permissions, simplified processes, subsidies and training support—positioning Uttarakhand as a rising film hub.

Actor Priyanshu Painyuli shared how his film Jagar received strong support from the state.
International producer Arfi Lamba praised Uttarakhand’s unique locations, safe environment and supportive administration, calling it attractive for global productions.

Panelists agreed that Uttarakhand is emerging as a significant new destination for Indian and international filmmaking.
