Dehradun: The third day of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) National Convention focused on the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybercrime, and misinformation in mass communication. Speakers emphasized that AI is both an opportunity and a challenge, calling for its ethical and secure use.

Uttarakhand Police ASP Ankush Mishra warned about AI-driven cybercrimes such as deepfakes and voice cloning, advising people not to share personal information on social media and to stay alert online. SAIL AGM Vinay Jaiswal noted that AI has made public relations faster and more effective, while stressing the need for strong cyber security. Graphic Hill University’s Taha Siddiqui said AI cannot replace humans but can serve as a powerful support tool.

In another session, PRSI National Vice President U.S. Sharma highlighted the importance of strategic and ethical corporate communication. REC and THDC representatives also shared how effective PR and media engagement help build trust and promote clean energy and development initiatives.

PRSI National President Ajit Pathak concluded that awareness, cyber vigilance, and responsible use of AI are essential for strengthening communication and societal growth.
