Dehradun. Uttarakhand has received significant financial support in the SASCI (Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment) guidelines issued by the Central Government for the financial year 2026–27. This time, a special provision named “Pride of Hills” has been introduced to provide additional assistance to hill states.

Under this initiative, Uttarakhand will receive an additional allocation of ₹3,460 crore, which is expected to accelerate infrastructure development and overall growth in the state. Additionally, the state will also receive ₹765 crore as untied funds, allowing the government to implement schemes based on its priorities.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this support, stating that continuous assistance from the Centre is helping Uttarakhand achieve new milestones in development.

It is worth noting that under the “Pride of Hills” scheme, Himachal Pradesh has been allocated ₹3,920 crore, Nagaland ₹3,880 crore, and Arunachal Pradesh the highest at ₹4,900 crore.
